Reading and Language Arts

Young children can use descriptive language in authentic and purposeful ways to communicate in large-group settings. Using the interactive online game, "What's in the Bag?" young children develop speaking and listening skills as a part of language development. Students also connect visual text with the printed words. This game helps students to develop reasoning and inferential thinking. Teachers may use this game as part of center activities or other independent work. (author/ncl)
