In this Let's Learn inquiry project, the children's fascination with birds led to many activities both inside and out. To entice more birds to their outdoor area, the teachers helped the children make simple bird feeders. The inquiry experiences expanded from there to include bird watching, map making, labeling outdoor areas, graphing results of the children's survey of favorite birds, field site visits, and working with experts.

In the Bird Project readers can find information and pictures illustrating the activities that were a part of the project in Phases I, II, and III including the anticipatory web, documentation panels, and a list of some of the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards that were addressed during the project.
